Crane School District, a Child Find Informational Presentation
Crane Elementary School District #13, Exceptional Student Services' Department is hosting a Child Find Informational Presentation on December 18that 5:00 p.m.in the district training room of the administrative building of Crane School District– 4250 West 16thStreet, Yuma, AZ, 85364.
In partnership with the Federal Government, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) mandates school districts (like Crane Elementary School District) to identify children who have disabilities and/or need services as part of the Child Find process. Early identification of children with disabilities is an important first step towards obtaining services for he or she to succeed in school.Crane School District offers FREE screenings to locate, identify, and evaluate all children that reside within Crane Elementary School District’s boundaries who may have a disability as part of its Child Find efforts.
“We encourage parents or guardians of a student who is currently homeschooled and identified with a disability nad/or suspected of having difficulty with learning, communication, vision, hearing, behavior, or motor control and coordination to please contact our special education department or attend our meeting on December 18th" said, Connie Jerpseth, Director Exceptional Student Services.
